Traveling to The Plains

For guests traveling by air, The Plains is easily accessible from several major airports in the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia area. Rental cars or ride services are recommended once you arrive. While ride-share services are available, we recommend renting a car for the most flexibility when traveling to and around The Plains.

Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD)
Approx. 35–40 minutes from The Plains
The closest and most convenient option, with extensive domestic and international flights.
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA)
Approx. 1 hour from The Plains
A great option for domestic travel, located just outside downtown Washington, D.C.
Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI)
Approx. 1.5 hours from The Plains
Often offers competitive flight pricing and a wide range of carriers.

We recommend Middleburg Taxi or Dulles Transportation for any transportation needs.

When you RSVP, please let us know where you are staying so we can guide transportation accordingly.

Please note: THERE IS NO PARKING AT THE VENUE

Transportation for all guests will be provided from Haymarket Hilton Garden Inn, Warrenton Hampton Inn, the town of The Plains and the Salamander Hotel in Middleburg.

All buses will depart at 4:00 PM to ensure guests arrive at the wedding ceremony on time. There are no other departure times.

Please utilize our transportation as UBERS are more difficult in the countryside. We will have drivers available (limited), please text Caitlin or Mike for more information.

As well, we recommend Middleburg Taxi or Dulles Transportation for any transportation needs.

If you choose to drive, parking is available at Grace Episcopal Church in The Plains, Virginia. Transportation from here will be provided to the ceremony and reception.
